The New President of the United States in 2023

The United States will enter a new presidential cycle in 2023. The race for president is expected to be crowded with a number of candidates, including former President Donald Trump and his Vice President Mike Pence.

Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, is a young, liberal politician who has proven his political chops in multiple high-profile campaigns and may be the right person to take on Trump in 2024. If he wins, he would be the youngest president ever and the first openly gay leader.

1. Pete Buttigieg

Pete Paul Montgomery Buttigieg is an American politician and former mayor of South Bend, Indiana. He is currently the United States Secretary of Transportation (2021-present).

As the secretary, he has a major role in implementing President Joe Biden's $1.2 trillion infrastructure law and economic plan.

During his time as DOT secretary, Buttigieg has faced a litany of transportation-related problems and has become the subject of political attacks. These include the recent derailment of a train near East Palestine, Ohio.

2. Vivek Ramaswamy

Vivek Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur and author, has announced his bid to become the next president of the United States. He rolled out his campaign on Fox News’s Tucker Carlson Tonight show and in an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday.

Ramaswamy, 37, whose parents migrated from Kerala to the US, says he wants to "put merit back" and end dependence on China. He is the second Indian-American to enter the Republican Party's presidential primary.
